KILO & CO was created to build a place where people can train to make progress, be coached well and enjoy being part of something.
We believe in quality movement, consistency and doing the simple things well. Whether the goal is stepping onto a competition platform, hitting a new PB or simply becoming stronger, everyone deserves good coaching and a training environment where they feel they belong.
Because strength is better in good company.
Keep it simple. Do it well.
Weightlifting is a technical sport. Good coaching is knowing what matters, what needs to change and when.
At KILO & CO, we coach the individual, not just the lift. We focus on how each athlete moves, their mechanics, timing, positioning and mindset. Because getting stronger isn't always about doing more. It's about understanding what needs to improve.
Our approach is built on sound fundamentals, purposeful programming and long-term progression. We develop athletes who understand their movement, trust their training and have the confidence to perform when it counts.
Whether you're learning your first lift, building strength or preparing for competition, the principle remains the same: progress is individual, and every session should have a purpose.
No unnecessary noise. Just good lifting, good coaching and good people.
MOVE WELL.
Quality before kilos.
GET STRONG.
Build strength that supports the lifts.s.
BE CONSISTENT.
Progress comes from doing the work, over time.
GOOD COMPANY.
Train seriously. Support each other. Enjoy being there.
MEL COWIE - HEAD COACH
Weightlifting is a sport that demands strength, precision, patience and a willingness to keep learning. It's what keeps me invested, both as an athlete and a coach.
As a competitive weightlifter, national technical official and coach, I understand the sport from different perspectives. I know the work that goes into developing a lift, the frustration of technical limitations and the importance of getting the small details right.
My coaching approach is built around understanding the individual. How they move, how they learn, what limits their progress and what needs to change. Strength matters, but so do mechanics, timing, positioning and mindset.
I don't believe in overcomplicating training or filling every session with unnecessary exercises and cues. Good coaching is knowing when to intervene, what to change and when to let an athlete lift.
I created KILO & CO to bring that approach into a dedicated weightlifting environment. A place where coaching has purpose, athletes are supported at every level and people genuinely want to see each other succeed.
Good coaching. Good lifting. Good company.
